Our apple program is the heart of Green Field Farms. We grow fifteen distinct varieties — from the ever-popular Gala and Honeycrisp to specialty favorites like Pink Lady and Kanzi — each selected for its flavor profile, texture, and market demand.
Whether organic or conventional, every apple is hand-thinned for optimal size, hand-picked at peak maturity, and packed in our state-of-the-art facility with controlled atmosphere storage that locks in just-harvested flavor for months.
Pears are among the most misunderstood fruits — picked when firm and ripened to buttery perfection off the tree. Our Yakima Valley climate produces some of the finest pears in the world, with the warm days building sugar and the cool nights preserving crisp acidity.
We grow eight pear varieties spanning the full spectrum from the classic Bartlett to the winter-hardy Bosc. Each variety is monitored for ideal harvest timing using refractometer sugar readings and firmness testing to ensure consistent quality.
Cherry season is the most intense time of year at Green Field Farms. In a narrow eight-week window, our crews harvest over half a million boxes across seven distinct varieties — from the blushing Rainier to the deep-dark Bing.
Our cherry program is managed from our dedicated Yakima office, where every aspect — from bloom-time frost protection to post-harvest hydrocooling — is orchestrated to deliver the firmest, sweetest, most visually stunning cherries on the market.
Our blueberry program represents our deepest commitment to organic farming. Every berry is grown without synthetic pesticides or fertilizers, hand-harvested into clamshells in the field, and rushed to cold storage within hours of picking.
Blueberries are incredible fresh or frozen. To preserve their summer flavor for year-round enjoyment, we recommend freezing them individually on a cookie sheet before bagging — that way they don't clump together and you can pour out exactly what you need.
